Katsina State Governor Dikko Umar Radda has flagged off the distribution of multimillion naira medical supplies and equipment to General Hospitals and Primary Healthcare Centres across the state, aimed at strengthening healthcare delivery for residents.
The intervention includes two containers of medical consumables donated by Baitulmaal, valued at about $1.5 million, alongside medical equipment worth roughly $200,000 provided through the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare’s Sector Wide Approach Programme.
Radda thanked Baitulmaal for its continued partnership, noting encouragement from assurances that this is only the beginning of further consignments and development programmes for the state, while also commending the Ministry of Health and the Drugs and Medical Supplies Agency for their role in the intervention.
The Governor directed that all supplies and equipment be properly utilised, maintained and protected, stressing that the support represents an investment in Katsina’s public health system and the vulnerable residents who depend on it.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening health institutions and expanding access to quality healthcare through sustainable partnerships.
